Double Chins has been breeding chinchillas since 2011 with the goal of producing high quality chinchillas. Our main objective is breeding healthy chins that are well-adjusted to their surroundings, and finding them the best homes possible.
Our chinchillas are handled from birth to get them used to people. They come from a multi-pet household, and are used to hearing noises such as barking (loud) and meowing (insistent). Since we got our first chins in 2002, we’ve treated every chinchilla like they were our kids.
Being a small breeder, we offer that personal touch. Whether it's helping you to choose the chinchilla you’ve been looking for, or providing guidance on care, our goal is to always make all of our chinchillas and our customers happy. We treat each chinchilla like it's a part of our family before it becomes a part of yours.
If you plan to take one of our chinchillas home with you, please be prepared. You will need a safe carrier to transport the chinnie in, and you will need to have a cage set up with water bottle, food dish, bedding and chew toys before you take the chin home.
Double Chins Chinchillas does not ship animals, sell to pet stores or suppliers, and my husband and I reserve the right to screen all potential customers. These are our babies, and we will not send them to an unhappy, unhealthy or scary situation. I will send you home empty-handed if I feel you will not be a good chinnie parent.
